mony.

father, the bride wore a street
ing wrist length sleeves and
bouffant collar. She wore a
corsage of pink carnations.
For a short wedding trip the
bride was attired in a pastel
green two piece frock with black
accessories.
Mrs. Jones attended Paducah
schools and is a student of
Grand Prairie Beauty School. He
attended Irving High School and
is employed by Lone Star Gas
Co. in Irving.
Home Ceremony Unites Jane Wilson,
Kenneth Trent Saturday Afternoon
A double ring ceremony held
Saturday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. in
the home of the bride’s parents
united Miss Jane Rhea Wilson
and Kenneth Trent of Amarillo.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Albright,
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. E. L. Trent of Ama-
rillo.
Rev. Joe P. Self, pastor of the
First Baptist Church, officiated
before a fireplace flanked with
ivy. A floral arrangement of
white mums and gladiolus cov-
ered the mantle.
Mrs. N. B. Albright of Ama-
rillo played traditional wedding
piano arrangements.
Given in marriage by her
step father, Fred Albright, the
bride wore. a blue silk shan-
tung sheath dress. She carried
a bouquet of pink roses atop
a white lace covered Bible.
The couple was attended by
Miss Maxine Cogdell of Paducah
and Houston Frye of Dimmitt.
Miss Cogdell wore a beige linen
suit and a corsage of pink roses,
with bone colored accessories.
A reception was held imme-
diately following the ceremony
in the home of the bride’s par-
ents.
Miss Carolyn Etter of Slaton
and Miss Carlie Smith of Here-
ford shared serving duties at
the table covered with a white
cutwork cloth and complement-
ed with crystal and silver ap-
pointments.
After a brief wedding trip to
Red River, N. M., the couple
will reside in Amarillo and both
will attend West Texas State
College in the fall.
Mrs. Trent is a member of
Alpha Delta Pi, social sorority,
and a graduate of the I960 Pa-
ducah High School class. Trent
is a member of Lambda Chi
Alpha, social fraternity and is
a graduate of Amarillo High
School.
Mrs. Freddy Cobb
Honored With Gift
Shower Friday
Mrs. Freddy Cobb, nee Ber-
nice Mayberry, was honored
with a miscellaneous bridal
shower Friday, August 18, in
the home of Mrs. Lee Bayne.
Sharon Kay Smith registered
guests in the white satin
bride’s book.
Composing the receiving line
were Mrs. Bayne, the honoree,
her mother, Mrs. Douglas May-
berry, and mother of the bride-
groom, Mrs. W. J. Cobb.
Susie Sossaman and Carol
Chenault presided over the re-
freshment table. Appointments
of crystal and silver comple-
mented the table covered with
lace over pink. An arrange-
ment of pink and white carna-
tions and roses centered the
table. The bride’s chosen colors
of pink and white were used
throughout home decorations.
Approximately 100 gifts were
displayed by Sharon Bayne and
Rita Gibbs. Girls assisting in
hostess duties were attired in
rainbow colored formals.
Hostesses were Mrs. Bayne,
Mrs. Fritz Smith, Rita Gibbs,
Mrs. Ray Perkins, Mrs. J. B. Gar-
rett, Susie Sossaman, Mrs. Jor-
dan Tucker, Mrs. J. D. Biddy,
and Carol Chenault.
SISTER IS ILL
Mrs. Roy Wall has returned
from Dallas where she has been
at the bedside of her sister, Nell
Revis, who is a patient of a
Dallas hospital.

Sealed proposals will be re-
ceived by the Housing Authority
of the city of Paducah, Texas,
(hereinafter called the ‘‘Local
Authority”) at 809 8th Street in
the City of Paducah, Texas, un-
til, and publicly opened at,
eleven o’clock A.M. (C.S.T.) on
September 12, 1961, for the pur-
chase of $175,000.00 Temporary
Notes (Eighth Series), being is-
sued to aid in financing its low-
rent housing project.
The notes will be dated Oc-
tober 3, 1961, will be payable to
bearer on October 5, 1962, and
will bear interest at the rate or
rates per annum fixed in the
proposal or proposals accepted
for the purchase of such notes.
All proposals for the pur-
chase of said notes shalh be sub-
mitted in a form approved by
the Local Authority. Copies of
such form of proposals and in-
formation concerning the notes
may be obtained from the Lo-
cal Authority at the address in-
