Works on Cooking
Badges Monday
Girls in Scout Troop 22 earn-
ed four steps toward their cook-
ing badges when they met at
the cabin Monday for a fun
day. Ten steps are required
to complete the badge.
After arriving, the girls draw
“kapers” for tasks.
Shoppers bought groceries for
the noon meal. The cooks pre-
pared “sloppy joes,” stuffed
celery and mores.
Table arrangers set the table,
arranged a centerpiece and led
grace before lunch.
Cleanups washed dishes and
cleaned the kitchen.
Other activities included
games, songs, work on cooking
badges and reading of the book
“Juliette Low, Girl Scout.”
At the close of the meeting,
the girls sang in front of the
fire and popped popcorn.

leader for the group.
