proving after suffering a heart
attack several weeks ago.

Major Grogan, who resides at
Silver Springs, Md., left via non-
stop jet plane, July 15 for Lon-
don. England. In Englartd he
visited a smallpox vaccine insti-
tute, going to Geneva, Switzer-
land, on Tuesday, where he at-
tended the World Health Organ-
ization headquarters, then pro-
ceeded to Cairo and Alexandria,
Egypt, for brief stops before
landing in Calcutta, India.
The mission will take him to
Dacca, East Pakistan, where he
will be for several weeks working
on smallpox vaccine production
problems. He is scheduled to re-
turn home via Geneva, Switzer-
land.
Major Grogan’s wife and two
sons, Earl Wayne Jr. and Allen,
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Benham,
Linda and Ronnie of Dallas,
spent from Friday until Monday
with his parents and grandpar-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Ben-
ham, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Hood.

Child Eats Poison
Is Hospitalized
Nita Kay, three-year-old dau-
ghter of Supt. and Mrs. James
Jones of Cunningham, is hospi-
talized in Paris after eating a
small quantity of drano at her
home Tuesday morning.
It was reported the child climb-
ed a kitchen stool, onto a cabinet
to reach the poison stored on a
shelf in a cupboard, removed the
top and ate a small quantity of
the poison. She is suffering
bums to her mouth and tongue,
and will remain in the hospital
a few days to determine extent
of her injuries.
