Well I have a comment to make on one that is kept perfectly
dean and a' the same time is actually pretty. Drive by some I
turn and take a look at the alley behind the Alton Coats home.
Mower i verywhen F.ven the back of their fence is covered 1
with pretty vines The credit for this I am told goes to Mrs. |
f oats mother, Mr Fowler This wonderful lady, and I don’t
av that because hr keeps the alley clean, must spend an
awful lot <d time to make the alley an attractive place.
Now, I m not saying that everyone should run out and
piant I lowers in the alleys hut I will say this I think peopfe
should have enough self respect to keep garbage in polls and
keep trash off the ground After all the cleanliness of a town
impresses visitors and future residents And don’t kid your-
selves. people can see alleys just the same wav they can see
main streets People an judged by the way they keep their
yards, houses and yes, even alleys Besides who wants to be
guilty of just cleaning what shows? ff something is clean on
the surface- and dirty underneath, tnen it’s reallv dirty
