Circle Meets
At Grayson Home
The Evelyn Hill circle of the
First Baptist church met Tuesday,
Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. at the home of
Mrs. Harry Grayson.
The meeting was opened with
prayer by Mrs. R. B. Gullett.
Members were urged to attend the
week of prayer at the church next
week. The Bible study on “Woman
of Destiny in the New Testament"
was given by Mrs. Ben R. Strip-
ling. She also offered the closing
prayer.

Mrs. Bill Holliman, Mrs. Ben

Revival In Progress
At East Mt. Church
A revival is in progress at the
East Mountain Baptist church with
Evangelist D. C. Bandy conduct-
ing the daily services at 10 a.m
and 7:30 p.m, each day.
The services will end on Decem-
ber 3.
Reception For GHS Graduates, Faculty
To Be Given On Thanksgiving Day
One of the most colorful
Thanksgiving arrangements is at

Crgwned Queen
Of UG Carnival
Miss Sharon Mears was crown-
ed queen of Union Grove’s Har-
vest Carnival Tuesday evening in
an impressive ceremony held in
the school auditorium at seven o’-
clock Her escort. Thomas Edmond-
son, was crowned King. The royal
couple represented the Sophomore
class.
The little king and queen, rep-
resented the second grade elemen-
tary school, were Linda Charles
Harris and Bruce Nail. They were
crowned and took their places be-
side the high school King and
Queen.
Miss Mears, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. E. H. Mears, wore a gown
of orchid faille taffeta, fashioned
with an off-the shoulder scallop-
ed neckline and an extremely full
skirt. She wore a white carnation
corsage.
A program for the Queen was
presented, after which the group
adjourned to the gymnasium and
enjoyed the various booths and
stands in the carnival.
