All Must Be According
To The Pattern
What architect would think ef designing a bufldtng without specifications? Or, what
seamstress would sew a dross together without a pattern? Even so, when Moses was to
construct the tabernacle he was told, “See saith be, that Thou make aO things according to
the pattern showed thee in the mount." Hebrews 8:5 [Exodus 25). The Holy Spirit is not
telling us in Hebrews 8 to build a tabernacle, but this is His point: we are to worship God
according to his pattern, Just as Mesas was to erect the tabernacle by God’s blueprint, we
are to worship and serve him exactly as God specifies.
What if a laborer of the tabernacle were to reply to Mooes, "It makes no difference
how we make this, just so we do what we think is right." Don’t you think Mooes would have
quickly informed him of the specifications which God demanded? - Biblical evidence says
that and we should accept It. Our Lord has recorded Hebrews 8:5, for those who would
avow, "one way Is just as good as another as long aa wo are honest and sincere." Jesus teOs
us to got only be sincere but go by His pattern.
In Ephesians 4:5, Paul said by inspiration of God, "There is...one Lord, one faith, one
baptism..." Yet, on the whole today, religiously speaking, the world believes “One faith is
as good as another." God has said "there is one faith." Wha do you believe; which one is
right, man of God? WiD you conteat God? The Devfl throws up his smoke screen and tries to
convince us “we cant all see alike in religion." Can we not rood “one faith" in Ephesians
4:5? If God says “one," bow can you my, "anyone just so I am sincere"?
These are plain statements from God’s Word, there are many more that make the
same thought throughout the Holy Bible. God wants us to conform our lives and worship to
His book, the Holy Bible. It does make a difference what wo believe when wo have aa exact
pattern from God. God certainly has revealed that Ho not only e*p< »ts sincere worship, hut
worship that He has directed. In religion conform to Romano 6:14 "for ye are not under the
law, but under grace." Look to the gospel of grace; read there of God’s Church and how to
enter it [Mark 16:15-16; Acta 1:8*47]. It is called, "the church of God which He purchased
with His own blood." Acts 20:28. Hold to the one gospel that produces one faith. As Paul
said in Philip,>i*ns 1:27, “Only lat your conversation [manner of life] be as It beeometh the
gospel of Christ':...stand fast in ana spirit, with one mind far the faith of the gospel." Wo
are to "Endeavor to keep the unity of the spirit In the bond of peace." Fhpesian. 4:80. So
throw down the manuals, disciplines and creeds of men, and he governed by a "thus saith
the Lard. Lat us ahoy I Peter 4:11
