ium, a Colored High School and White
Elementary School building, at which time
and place the proposals will be publicly
opened and read aloud. Any bid received
after closing lime will be returned un-
opened.
Plans and specifications will be on file
and may be seen in the office of the
Superintendent, Mr. Dana Williams, and
Prestor. M. Geren, Architect, 1607 Fort
Worth National Bank Building. Fort Wqfth,
Texas. Contractors may secure not more
than two sets of plans and specifications
from the Architect after September 28,
l-*53, upon the deposit of $25.00 for each
set, which deposit will be refunded upon
the submission of a bona fide bid and
the return of such documents in good
condition no* later than ten days after
the date cf receiving bids. Additional sets
may be procured at cost cf reproduction.
Each proposal must be accompanied by
a Certified or Cashier's Check payable to
»hc Gladewater Independent School Dis-
trict or an acceptable Bid Bond for the
sum of five percent (5%) of the amount
of the maximum total bid as a guarantee
that if awardee the contract, the bidder
will promptly enter into a contract and
execute a Surety Bond.
A Performance Bond is the amount of
or.e bundered percent (100%) of the con-
tract price will be required.
Not less than the prevailing wage rates
as set forth in the specification must be
paid.
Separate contracts will be awarded for
general construction, for the Plumbing and
Heating, and for the Electrical work. Sepa
rate bids will be taken on individual
buildings and a combined bid lor all
buildings.
The Owner reserves the right to reject
any and/or all bids and to waive any
and, or all formalities.
