. PROFS AND PROFESSED TIS SPRING
Yea tho we must travel through the valley of
death we do edit such scandalous phrases about
skull headed freckled faced Appolos and their
Stock Show prize winning heifer venuses. Yerse
'tis Spring again maid and moron stroll about the
H pond but nobody seems to be looking at the ali-
gators every student with his or her eyes locked
but not looking at anything some gals with cal-
louses from holding hands nobody studies; yerse
without a doubt Spring has sprung.
To thoroughly enjoy the change of equinox lend
that wore out face of yours to the campus some
eve and unite yor palm to one of another sex al
though some don't seem to know their sex has an
opposite. Man this is pure unadulterated rabbit
whip a bear weather so look around man look
around. Spring will either make you break you
or set you up in some kind of business yerse 'tis
Spring.
JUST A MOMENT
The purpose of this edition of The Yellow Jack-
et is to promote fun. We have given out the truth
through the columns of the paper all this year and
now the pressure has become too great and we
are taking this method of letting off steam. Every
item and a major portion of the scandal reproduc-
ed in these columns was submitted by a club
brother or close friend of yours. Ponder on that
before-you rise in your wrath. If you were at all
mentioned in this edition don't get hard boiled
and raise the devil but consider it an honor to be
mentioned at all. Of such is publicity and in cer-
tain isolated instances a knock is a boast. 1 924
Y. J. We hope that you will heed this advice but
just in case you don't we will keep our suit case
packed.
Campus Comments
Well Happy April Fool and Merry
Easter Eggs all me lads and lassies.
How is this here Spring weather suit-
ing you all? Mighty fine time for
love eh what? Go to it but remem-
ber we have an eye on you.
Come to think about it from the
looks of a bunch of the boys stran-
gers might think that H. P. C. was a
barber college. How far wrong arc
we ? We wonder what the girls think
about all that shor thair? How did
the Duches like it Eskew?
Vickers. what's this we hear about
you going on a party with a former
resident of Brownwood while you
were in Fort Worth? Or was it King
Kong tha twent? Which ever one it
was you had a good time no doubt.
William we hear that you lost your
papa's shoes while you were studying
Bible with Mickey. He was all wrap
ped up in his studies eh what Dor
othy.
It seems that this April Fool weath
er has caused a few changes in the
maches on the campus.
James Read Saunders has handed
the sweet Faye Nickens over to the
man-of-the-campus Stuart Painter.
At last reports Ruth Voyles had
deserted Elbert Whitehead for Whit
mire.
Busby is being very unpatriotic. She
seems to think that Howard Payne
boys aren't the right type fr ner-
She has left Charlie for "leetle wan."
B. F. Bennett has broken all the
local damsels hearts by going with
that vamp Bray.
Woody Smith has finally seen how
hopeless it is to combat the powerful
Hiner. Needless to say that Hiner
and Marshal are now seen together.
Pauline White can't make up her
mind whether she wants Coston or
Marshal.
Mickey is making Simmons push
himself with the wild red-head from
High school Frances Ellis.
Believe it or not. Cheatem is being
seen with Mary Lou Dunn and his re-
cent gal friend is in love with John
Wester.
Flash: Baker and Sarah Pearl Wil
son. Dillard and Rusty Marshal. After
a strenuous courtship of six months'
duration Brooks finally pushed Mc-
Christy off the scene.
Weedon is now seen with Gaston
Green from Gustine. Joe Drake is
courting Amy Johnson.
The object of Winnie Mae's affec-
tion is Freshman Crumley. Vivan is
wooing as usual Coach Hale.
Now that Greenlee has left Vanita
Yates is giving Andrew Huegel the
grand rush.
Vickers has finally won the heart of
that queen of the campus Rowena
Ross.
