SOLOMON
Out of the dim and ancient past no
name is more familiar than that of
Solomon. He is universally known as
the "Man of many wives." He had
more women than a Bolshevist has
fleas.
He was the fellow who bulled the
marriage market.
When the present day Solomons
generally deal In clothing the ancient
one handled skirts exclusively.
He spent one-half of his life run-
ning after women and the other half
running away from them.
He was the wisest man that ever
lived he must have been; he could
agree with a thousand wives. Now
you can't agree with one. Nobody
has ever apprecalted just how wise
he was.
He could scatter his affections
In a thousand directions
without straining them. You try and
divide your affection by two try and
do it.
Although a thousand-to-one shot he
always brought home the bacon.
He was a chicken fancier by trade.
It took a rib from Adam to get one
wife: it took a backbone for Solomon
to take a thousand.
He was the original traffic cop.' He
had a semaphore at the entrance to
the diing hall and at feeding times he
directed the wild rush.
There are plenty of things htat
could be said about Solomon; you
know what they say about a man who
today has two wives! (Sometimes they
say "Two years at hard labor!)" But
a simple peitaph will suffice:
He had a thousand reasons to quit the
world
But his natural content was supreme;
'Twas for the best
His eternal rest
Was surely earned that's no dream!
An optimist Is a guy who thinks
his wife has quit cigaretts when he
finds cigar butts around the house.
And then there is the girl in the
Dorm who was heard to say that a
buttress is a female goat.
Some people have no respect for old
age unless it Is bottled.
Please?
No!
Aw please?
No!
Just this time?
I said No!

Super sleuthing by our star reporter
brought forth shocking scandal in our
ministerial department of this honor
able college A hidden camera in the
B. S. U. room placed there by the
Campus Rag recorded one of the
most sensational robberies ever at-
tempted since the raids of the James
boys. The photo shows the actual tak-
ing of the funds of the Preacher's
Wives Council; the profits of their
weekly dances held to ball delinquent
preachrs out of the county jug. Do
