SIT'N
One day as I was wandering
nrotind I thought I would go to the
library and take n few notes. On
my way over I ran into a "Gossip
Ciiclc" so I stopped and took notes.
These are only a few of the many
victims!!!!!!!!!
.Vi 11 wottn ya know! When
Jtianita and Mark finally get on the
it they really stral on with a
"hang"! Yep! you guessed it she's
enmpused but how did Lola get
mixed up in it. By the way Hill
i nd Lcla seem tg be hitting it off
on the right foot too.
Speaking of getting off on the
right foot Jack and Alma don't
seem to let last week's little deal
affect them. Luck to ya!!!
Well well first it's a red-head
then it's a blonde. What's the
matter Hester can't you make up
your mind or is the little red-head
going to need some Vitamin Pills
before the race is over!!!
Logan Templeton was seen in
Rcnfros dressed to a "T" Logan
were you waiting on someone or
couldn't you convince the little
girl behind the counter? Maybe
you should take lessons fiom John
Walker and Vonnio. They seem
to hit it off O.K.!
Hold your hats kids!!! Rillie
Smith's on the loose again. What's
the matter "Hig Hoy" couldn't
you keep up?
Beverly Wilson might like Hill
Clark who knows? but Hill doesn't
seem the least bit worried since he
anl Hetty Coon are hitting it off
O.K. Say Joe you sure lost out
on a good chase. Hack to the
Beverly deal that can work both
ways so tell us Bevcily wheie
does Edwin Nixon come in or is he
just another one in the Passing
Parade ?
Flash!!! We pause just for a
moment to wade out of the mucky
mud to hand out our congratula-
tions to I In Dean Foreman upon
receiving a hunk of "Ice" ftom the
"one and only". Chalk one more
up for our Howard Payne Co-eds!
Of course we don't want to forgot
Homer Svvartz and Carolyn. Again
we say "Congrats"
Say Harrell "Clarinet" Rice
Where have you been keeping
yourself I can't find a thing about
you in my "gossiping circle".
You've either been awfully good
or awfully sly and we're inclined
to be a trifle partial to the latter.
Will someone please give us the
low down on the Self Arnold deal.
Who's leading who in this merry
race ?
Got a new couple on the campus
"Ex" C. Q. Davis and Liz Kicketts.
Looks O.K. but where does Hill
Scoggins come in ? ? and we might
add the long distance phone call
to Bubba Kanak!!!? Anyway we're
glad to see you back Davis stick
around awhile.
Christmas Party
In Girls' Dorm
Features Gifts
Residents of Howard Payne Hall
had their annual Chiistmas pajama
party last night at 9:30 in the
parlor.
The YWA had charge of the
program. Mis. Morris E. Day told
a Christmas story. After the
story the group
sang Christmas
carols.
The biggest event of the even-
ing was the opening of the many
gifts which were under the large
Christmas tiee. Each girl brought
gift and numbers were drawn.
Many oiiginal and humorous gifts
were revealed as each girl opened
her gift.
After the excitement of the
opening of the packages refresh-
ments were served to the group.
Alpha Chi Has
Xmas Program
The Alpha Chi met last Tuesday
at 4:15 in the Howard Payne Hall
parlor. Vira Sanders vice-president
had charge of the meeting in
the ubsence of the president Mary
Ilavins.
The program consisted of vari-
ous Christmas songs. Truett
sang "White Christmas" and I
Heard the Hells On Christmas
Day." After the songs Mary Hess

There are many new couples on
the campus this week but one that
we noticed especially was Maxfield
