Mrs. Sophia Poleski, a young East
8lde woman, in the furnace of a
lumber yard kiln in Lewi* Street.
Georgi Symuk, fireman of the lum-
ber yard, waa arrested. The police

Patrolman William Merrick,

gated.
Merrick found Symuk, near the
