The Time Is Now
Have you cvor boon asked tho question. "Have you been
studying barcP Npprlloss to sny we all have.
We use the saymcj many times in a joking manner. But
should we tako it so lightly? That is one of the main purposes
we make available to ourselves by attending college.
Many say It is not my life's work. When I get out of
college I'll get clown to ' biass tacks."
Right now this business of studying is your life's work.
If you do not have good study habits remember that college
is the last time in your life that it will be possible for you to
give 70 or 80 - of your effoits When we are out of college
we must give our all.
Actually the ones who do study properly will testify that
it makes one happy to study hard. It makes him feel he is
getting somewheie and getting something clone. We must
remember that we are learning things in a classroom in 18
weeks that it took men actually centuries to develop.
It is really a challenge. College differs from high school
in that you are measuied in the innii by your sense of re-
sponsibility and just how well you get the job done. Your
studies are center inly taken inlo view.
Yes we should nil put this business of studying on the
top of the list and rememboi to "Study to show ourselves ap-
proved unto God - - -

Miss Vamashita stressed t li o
need for Christian teachers in a
land of diversified religions.
A lawyer asked Jesus the ques-
tion. "Who is my neighbor?"
Jesus replied by telling the story
of the experience between ;t (lood
Samaritan and I he man who was
a victim of thieves- while journey-
ing between Jerusalem and Jerico.
In the explanation Jesus im
plied that anyone who is in need l1"" "'
can he considered a neighbor and
that there are special ways to
treat a neighbor.
The (!ood Samaritan saw a mail
in need anil had compassion on
him. tie went over to the victim
of thieves bound up his wounds
placed him upon his own beast

care ot him. The next day wnen
the (lood Samaritan was preparing
to leave the inn he made arrange-
ments with the innkeeper to take
further care 'of him at his ex-
pense. The prerequisites lor being
neighborly are easily recognized
in this story. There is a great need
in the world in which we live for
the Christian to he the Samaritan
of the world.
The Samaritan saw the need and
had compassion on him. The Sa-
maritan had the ability and quali-
fications to help; he knew what
to do. The Samaritan went beyond
what was expelled in his pro-
visions for the victim.
