Mr. and Mrs E. W. Young of
Abilene announce the forthcoming
marriage of their daughter, Vir-
gie Faye, to Clifford W. Bell, son
of the First Christian Church of
the Tri-Cities, and funds will be
used to aid the council In'its ac-
tivities.
The volume, "Scarlet Lily," the
story of Mary Magdalene, has met
a fine reception throughout this
section. It is of a religious nature,
but not so much that it is not en-
joyed by anyone not of a religious
nature.
Mrs. Wood To Give
Review Tonight At
Community House
A record attendance is expected
at the Baytown Community House
tonight at 7:30 p. m., when Mrs.
Royal C. Wood reviews the "Scar-
let Lilly"
The review la being staged under
auspices of the Women's Council
Coats, Suits and Dresses
the First Baptist
___________Marcos. Mrs. Bil-
lie McDonald sang the wedding
solos, "Always," and “I Love You
Truly.”
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, wore a po'udre blue
wool dress, blue feather hat and
black accessories. Her corsage
was of white gardenias.
Mrs. Betty Hattox, matron of
honor, wore a black sequin dress,
sequin-trim hat, and a corsage of
red roses.
L, V. Ford, head epach of San
Marcos Academy, attended Mr.
Dent as best man. Ushers were
Jack Smith and Anthony Oc-
cichtinti.
Mrs. Thomas, mother of the
bride, wore a dress of aqua crepe
and a corsage of yellow mums.
The bridegroom's mother wore a
dressmaker suit of biue wool and
a corsage of yellow mums.
Following the ceremony, a re-
ception was held at the home of
Dean and Mrs. Lyons of San
Marcos State Teachers' college. A
lace-covered table held the tiered
wedding cake and crystal punch
