Baytown GMC-Buick sponsors
Stallworth Stadium entrance
•IWr KTfKll
Baytown GMC-Buick
recently purchased the
naming rights to Gate 1
at Goose Creek CISD’s
Stallworth Stadium.
Agreeing to spend
$23,000 over five years,
Baytown GMC-Buick is
keeping up their long-
standing role in com-
munity involvement.
They will be the
exclusive sponsor of the
entry.
“Baytown GMC-
Buick is proud to sup-
port all of the football
teams in Goose Creek
CISD and we look for-
ward to working with
the other teams as
well,” said Scott
Tibbitts, general sales
manager.
The advertising pro-
gram is new to the dis-
trict this year, but
already advertisers are
on board for both buses
and stadium opportuni-
ties.
The school bus adver-
tising places large signs
on the sides of the
buses.
With the stadium
opportunities, advertis-
ers can sponsor a gate,
hold an event night,
place a banner in the
stadium and more.
As with all of the dis-
tricts Steep Creek
Media represents for
advertising, most of the
revenue goes to the dis-
trict.
“We are grateftil for
Baytown GMC-Buick's
sponsorship of Gate I at
Stallworth this season.
Now the thousands of
visitors who come to
Stallworth during the
year will see their name
and know the kind of
outstanding community
business leaders we
have in Goose Creek
CISD.” said Dr. Toby
York, Goose Creek
CISD Superintendent of
Schools. “We thank
Baytown GMC-Buick
for their support. With
the current fiscal situa-
tion in public educa-
tion, this could not have
happened at a more
opportune time.”
All advertising must
be approved by the dis-
trict prior to installs-
tion, and no material
deemed Inappropriate
will be allowed.

about school district
advertising, call Steep

Service providers in the
areas of criminal justice,
juvenile justice and victim
assistance are invited to
attend a meeting of the
Chambers County
Community Planning
Group on September 21 at
1:30 p.m. at the Chambers
County Cedar Bayou
Annex.
The meeting is to dis-
cuss revisions to the
Community Plan, a tool
for obtaining grants to
solve community prob-
lems in Chambers County.
The Community Plan is
a requirement of the
Crimi-nal Justice Division
of the Governor’s Office,
which disburses millions
of dollars worth of grant
funds from a variety of
sources each year.
Funds are distributed
only to organizations that
in-tend to address local
problems spelled out in
the Commu-nity Plan.
Community plans must
be updated each year to
ensure that they continue
to reflect the area’s most
signifi-cant criminal jus-
tice needs.
The office of District
Attorney Cheryl Lieck
hosted a meeting in June
where the group met and
began to lay the initial
groundwork for a new
community plan. The
meeting planned for
September 21 at 1:30 p.m.
is the first planned meet-
ing of the group to address
needs across a wide vari-
ety of groups throughout
Chambers County and is
open to the public.
Government and private,
nonprofit service
providers who receive or
hope to receive grant
funds in 2012 should
attend the September 21
session. Funds are avail-
able from a variety of
Ainding sources.

Criminal Justice Division
grants is available at the
division’s Web site,
