There is a class on campus that has shown a rtnuuituble
amount of spunk and initiative that should be a challenge to the
other classes.
The Class of '79 led by President Ollin Collins has exhibited an
astronomical climb to the top of the classes through its many
money making projects and service to its members.
Just a few examples of Collins' leadership is reflected below.
Collins and his officers have initiated a scholarship funded by
and for freshmen.
The class' float reflecting imagination and creativity was an
honorable mention entry during Homecoming.
Their treasury will top $1000 by mid term according to
Collins.
Current money makers include a family Bible sale and the
sale of plates with Old Main on it
The class is indeed fortunate to have a man like Collins for
president and my advice to them and to Howard Payne is mat if
Mr. Collins decides to run for Sophomore President or SA officer
please vote him in.

Thanksgiving
As time draws near to humble ourselves and give thanks for
infinite blessings received we deem it a necessity to write an
editorial that will make readers think and truly understand the
importance of Thanksgiving.
Many have forgotten that it is Providence that we are
thanking for our nation's prosperity and prominence it now
enjoys in the world.
Let's face it. It was God through some very gutsy settlers who
made America as great as she is. Every generation has con-
tributed to our nation's cause. Unfortunately the current
populace of America seem to have quit trying to contribute to
our country. This is evident in the rampant crime and violence
that is found in every where.
This Thanksgiving let's see through the food and football and
Just thank Providence that there were pilgrims who were wise
enough to recognize God as their provider and honor Him in the
right spirit
Dear Editor
I would like to take this means
to express my heartfelt thanks
to all my wonderful Christian
friends for their prayers and
many expressions of sympathy
for me and my family during
the illness and recent death of
my dad.
Love to all in Christ

this article was published

was inaccurate and misleading.

I trust that one day I will see
him again in Heaven for he
accepted Christ as his savior at
the age of 22.
If you are reading this and
you have not yet trusted in
Jesus as your Savior I urge you
to do so now.
