Samantha Gutierrez led
the way at the plate for
Lee as she finished the
game 3-3 with two RBls
and one run scored while
Marti Delgado went 2-2

The win improved the

Lynchburg Chamber of
Commerce will host its
inaugural golf tourna-
ment April 7 at the Eagle
Pointe Golf Course in
Mont Bclvieu.
Money raised will help
provide scholarships to
local high school seniors.
Registration and break-
fast will take place at 8
a m. followed by a shot-
gun start at 9 a.m. for the
scramble-format event.
The entry fee is $320
pet team or $80 per play-
er and- will cover green
fees, breakfast, cart,
range balls, two mulli-
gans. hole-in-one prizes

Junior Tour. Junior Links

Tour
The Junior Links Tour is
for boys and girls ages 13-18
as of Sept. 1. 2011 and fea-
tures a schedule of 9-hole
tournaments. The program is
designed to meet the needs
of juniors who have either
just begun playing golf or
have a need tor more experi-
ence prior to playing in the
18 and 36-hole tournaments.
All firsHime members will
be required to pass a STPGA
Rules and Etiquette Test to
establish tournament eligi-
bility, The membership fee
is $70 and individual tourna-
ments will cost $20 to enter.

Little Linksters
The Little Linksters pro-
gram is open to all juniors
ages 6-12 as of Sept. I.
2011.
All members must estab-
lish tournament eligibility by
successfully completing an
STPGA Instructional Clinic
or approved clinic.
The membership fee is
$70.
Individual tournament
entry fees are $16-18.
Competition is broken
into eight age and skill divi-
sions.
The Junior Tour consists
of competitive one and two-
day weekly tournaments
throughout the year. It is
open to STPGA Junior
members who are ages 10-
18 as of Sept. 1, 2011.
Juniors who are 18 are eligi-
ble provided they have not
attended a regular semester
of college and do not reach
their 19th birthday prior to
Sept. I, 2011. The member-
ship fee is $70 and the entry
fee for individual tourna-
ments range from $25-65
depending on the area and
length of the tournament.

Ryan Armstrong
Goose Creek Memorial
Ryan Armstrong, son of Ray and Janine
Armstrong, is a student at Goose Creek
Memorial High School.
His favorite subject is AP English IV. After
high school, Ryan plans to attend Rice
University to major in Psychology with a
possible transfer to the University of Texas
in Austin.
Ryan's academic achievements include
advancing to UIE Regionals for Ready
Writing, and advancing to State during his
freshman year for a History Fair. In his spare
time, Ryan is also a member of the Band,
Key Club and National Honor Society.
His favorite quote is: “Don’t let yourself
