and cracked open by a
departing homeowner Sun-

Quiet Fourth
Baytown police report
that the Fourth of July
weekend was reasonably
quiet.
Detective Eric Freed
said police received only
four reports of fireworks
on Momiay, down from 62
such calls last year.
Officers responding to the
four reports were unable to
locate any offenders.
He also said the police
department received only
two complaints of shots
fired, which is sometimes a
problem on holidays. That
compares to 11 reports of
shots fired on July 4 last
year.

Monday by a woman who
said her estranged husband
was outside her house and
refused to leave.
Police report that when
officers arrived, the man
told them there was a war-
rant out for his arrest, and
demanded to be taken to

any arrest warranter the
50-year-old Crosby resi-
dent. but he was arrested
for public intoxication.
