INTER-OFFICE LETTER
FOR MR. D. W. Kempner
DATE June 20, 1955
SUBJECT Soybeans
WRITE ON BUT ONE SUBJECT ON THIS SHEET
TO BE USED BY ALL OFFICERS OR DEPARTMENT HEADS FOR INTER-OFFICE CORRESPONDENCE
Dear Mr. Dan:
Thanks for your letter of May 30th, with which you enclosed tear sheet from the Soybean Digest. We found the article about experiments being conducted by the Texas Research Foundation, Renner, Texas, most interesting. This is the most encouraging report on a suitable variety of soybeans for Texas that I have seen. It appears, though, that no seed will be available for two or three more years. We should like to retain the tear sheet from the Soybean Digest and check on these experiments from time to time. In the meanwhile, we are advising the Texas Research Foundation of our interest in soybeans and asking that our name be placed on their mailing list for all reports that might be issued from time to time.
