Coolest weather during the month is indicated for a few days
around the 4th, and for several days between the 16th to 22nd, with
minimums ranging in the 508 during the cooler periods.
In October, the normal rainfall in Fort Bend County is 3 1/2
inches. In October, 1956 we expect below normal rainfall, with some
rain at the start of October, but very dry weather in mid nd late
month. This will be a good harvesting and fall field work period.
By comparison, rainfall was generally one half of normal or less in
October of !-lo :. n.
The bulk of the rain is tentatively elected somewhere between
the 2nd to 6th, and, 19th to 23rd .
Temperatures are expected to average moderately colder than nor-
mal during early October, 1956, but above normal in mid and late month.
This warming is the start of very mild fall temperatures in Fort Bend
County. This is a moderately warmer condition than with the near nor-
,al average temperatures experienced in October of last _;cason.
Warmest temperatures are tentatively expected from about the 12th
to 17th, and the last few days of October.
The principal cool periods during the month are tentatively indI-
cated from about the 3rd to 8th, and, 21st to 25th generally through
all areas of interest.
