Thos. L. James
Dear Torn:
I have yours of News Letter.
the eleventh returning the Agricultural
I just returned from Arkansas a couple of days ago and saw a field there, a large one, that by actual test and measure- ments, produced 133 bushels of corn to the acre by the use if anhydrous ammonia. However, I am also told that with the anhydrous ammonia there was used and it is customary to use other fertilizers such as 2-9-18 or 0-10-20, otherwise the use of anhydrous ammonia will eventually p ison and destroy the field. I also saw farmers putting out Premerge and they intend also to put out Postmerge on their cotton lands. This some of the farmers report kills and holds back the weeds so that chop- ping and weed cultivation is unnecessary. Yours very truly,
