Weekly broiler placements totaled 5.59
million chicks, up 11 percent from last year
but down 2 percent from the previous
week.
Producers hatched 5.90 million chicks, 82
percent of the eggs set during the week
ending November 21. The hatch was up 7
percent from a year ago but down slightly
from last week.
The weekly egg set increased 3 percent
from last year to 6.93 million eggs. The
set was up 1 percent from the previous

Producers set 116.69 million eggs during
the week, an increase of 4 percent from
