DALE TOMLINSON, honored \
recently as a winner of
this year's Calf Scramble
at the 41st Annual San
Antonio Stock Show and
Rodeo, is a Freshman at
Harper High. This event
is open to high school
youths and earns them
a scholarship for future
use. Congratulations!
BAND
Remember to call if the
band members can do any
odd jobs for you, to earn
funds for music, trips
•and additional expenses
connected with uniforms,
instruments, etc. Call
Patty Sims at 864-4246,
or the school to get on
the list.
Then, on the 24th of
March, the Band Boosters
will have their annual
chicken bar-b-que sale,
along with a bake sale,
while the Band students
are washing cars. The
perfect solution is to
order a bar-b-cued chi-
cken for lunch early
in the morning (around
9 AM), leave your car
at the school to be wash-
ed, go down to the park
and work there for sev-
eral hours, taking along
a cake or pie for break
or dessert later. Then
about noon, you are done
for the day; pick up
your chicken, go home
and relax. (Or pick up
several chickens and then
no one has to, cook for
supper or maybe lunch
the next day. Think
about it! ----
