Cut Energy Costss
Energy costs are high, and
experts warn that the end is
not in sight. We can’t
control rising prices, but we
can control our own bud-
gets by practicing the
conservation methods urged
by utility companies . . .
like lowering thermostats 5°
at night, laundering in warm
or cold water, and by
insulating to eliminate all air
leaks, into and out of the
house.
Top-dollar savings require
high-efficiency appliances.
When replacing old appli-
ances, shop for the best
efficiency ratings.
Most of all, it’s important
to keep equipment in
top-performance condition,
and for maximum economy
to have the necessary
maintenance hand tools to
do the work ourselves.
Again for economy, con-
sider only top quality,
lifetime products such as
those by Cooper The Tool-
maker-wrenches, screwdriv-
ers, files and saws, sol-
dering tools, and metal
snips.
It’s said that conserving
energy is sometimes a
“game of pennies”—but
why pay a penny more
when you can pay a penny
less?

THERAPY FOR HEALING
Engineering plus medi-
cine have combined in a
new technology in rehabili-
tation and healing.
The new technique is
known as Fluidotherapy ® .
Through the simultaneous
application of heat, massage,
levitation, stimulation and
pressure oscillations, it is
used for treatment of pain,
range of motion, circulation,
treatment of open or closed
wounds and to ease the ef-
fects of edema. '
Through mechanical and
thermal stimulation of the
skin, counter-irritation is
produced which modulates
sensory input, thus block-
ing pain perception and re-
sponse. It has been found
useful following injuries to
tissue or from contusion,
pain due to degenerative,
rheumatic tissue altera-
tions, overstrain and other
problems.
Restricted range of mo-
tion due to fractures, recon-
structive surgery, sports in-
juries and arthritis respond
to Fluidotherapy. Vascular
insufficiency and post-oper-
ative muscle, tendon and
nerve repair also benefit.
The technique has been
developed by Fluidotherapy
Corporation, an affiliate of

Intermedics Inc. of Freeport,
Texas.
Among its other bene-
fits are the elimination of
the need to immobilize
patients with paraffin, hot
packs or the inconvenience
of water.
The combination of
heat, stimulation and pres-
sure in Fluidotherapy, have
been found to increase
the efficacy of treatment
both quantitatively and
qualitatively.
Studies show it to be
from 12 to 35 times more
economical than other at-
tempts to do the same
thing.
