Beef-Club . The function of
such club is to get Die desired
number of members, sixteen
preferred, each of which, in
turn kills a beef and delivers
it to the other members on a
fixed day. Saturday; is usual-
ly the best day. In this way
the farmers* are not run to
death trying to collect up a
few nickels for the Beef-peddler
and too the meat arrives at a
desirable time.
