NEW CHURCH BUILDING PROPOSED -St„ James Presbyterian Church, now meeting in the old courthouse
building here, plans to move to a new location in this proposed building on Wilson Roadc The building is to
have 3,540 square feet with a sanctuary for 150, kitchen, study, church office, seven classrooms, four rest
rooms and storage areasc It will be centrally air conditioned and heated. On the building site now is a
1,280-square foot building donated by Humble Oil & Refining Co.

are anchored thousands of
an endless fleet of green
topped islands that most
men have never heard of:
many of which were made
famous by the death of men
in a time of war: many like
Kwajalein.

EHedge of Rt. 3, Humble,
is home on leave after
completing training at Fort
Polk, La., Fort McClellan,
Alabama, and Fort Benning
Ga. He is to depart this
week for Oakland, Calif.,
and on to Vietnam with the
101st Airborne Division.
Presbyterian
Elders To
Be Installed
Elders-elect of the St.
James Presbyterian
Church will be installed
and ordained Sunday at 7
p.m. by a commission from
the Bra os Presbytery at
the church. Nine members
were elected to serve as
the Church Session, and
have been going through a
period of instruction. Prior
to the ordination and in-
stallation, the Session
members will be examined
by the commission on their
fitness to hold office.
The elders -elect are
Mrs. Charlotte Forester,
Mrs. Shirley Neiman, H.H.
Cowen, Ray Kincaid, J.
Tucker Orr, C.E. Patton,
Homer Tippen and Vern
Whitney.
