lady Miss Amy Estep daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Estep in
Lubbock on being one of seven
chosen the good citizen award
with the Nancy Anderson
Chapter of the American Re-
volution at the George Wash-
ington Tea, held at the Muni-
cipal Art Center. Amy is a
senior at Lubbock Christian
high school. Dar is the oldest
and largest women’s patriotic
organization in the world
organized in 1890 in Washing-
ton D.C. It’s first president
general was Caroline Scott
Harrison, wife of President
William Henry Harrison, and
its 18 charter members set the
new organizations objectives
of historv. oartiotism and
education. The students were
chosen by their school facility
members for outstanding
achievement, scholarship, par-
ticipation in school activities of
community involvement. Amy
is the granddaughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clyde Estep Jr. Amy
we are proud of you.
Bubba Shore had a ball on
his birthday last week as he
received several cards and
unlike mine he got that green
cabbage in his cards.
Viola Arabolo spent a few
days last week in Llano
Hospital and came home Sa-
turday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ran-
dolph and children Kelly,
Kristi and Cobv went to Austin
this past Saturday.
Cristi Skaggs daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Stony Skaggs
visited with her aunt in Austin

Mrs. Larry Yarbrough from
Dalis visited a week recently
with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Jones and Mr. and Mrs.
Lawton Yarbrough and with
friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Taft from
San Saba came by the store
Saturday evening to say hello
and were on their way to San
Antonio to visit a neice and to
see the Lawrence Welk Show
on Sunday. It is sure good to
see Mrs. Taft up and around
after her ong seige of illnes-
ses.
Our sympathy to the family
of Francis Ashby who passed
away last week and was
hurried here last week. She is
survived by one brother. Ulyss
Kuykendall from Dallas, a
daughter, Mrs. Becky Soliz of
Laredo, 7 nephews, 4 neices

Miss Chenault was graduat-
