callable next week through a new

of the U.S. Department of Afri-

cently-enacted law by guaran-
teeing up to 80 per cent of pos-
sible loss on loans made by
legally organised lenders to
livestock and poultry pro-
ducers.

help the livestock Industry ob-
tain sufficient credit.

producers are urged to make
applications to, and complete
loan arrangements with lending

must be devoted to the live-
stock or poultry production.
In the case of a corpora-
tion or partnership, assistance
can be extended only when the
majority partners or stock-
holders are primarily engaged
In the livestock or poultry pro-
duction.
FmHA guarantees will be
made only when the bonaflde
farmer or rancher cannot ob-
tain financing without a guaran-
tee. Loans may not be used to
expand operations.
Mathis said the county Farm-
ers Home Administration of-
fice serving the area where
the borrower's livestock or
poultry operations are con-
ducted will handle requests
from lenders for guarantees,
or supply Information on the
loan guarantee program.
The Farmers Home Admini-
stration office serving Llano,
Gillespie, Blanco, Burnet, and
Mason Counties Is located at
Fredericksburg, on the second
floor of the Security State Bank
building.

Champion of the seventh an-
nual All-Girl Rodeo at Burnet
last week for which eh# re-
ceived a hand-tooled caddie.
There were 110 contestants
In the two-day rodeo which was
attended by about 2,000 spec-

Rouse of Brown wood Sunday

ing the month of July totaled
$11,456 according to County
Bond Chairman T.J. Mooro.
Sales for the seven-month
period were $102,160 for 79 per
cent of the 1974 sales goal of
$130,000 a higher percentage
than any county In the district
except Mason which was 145
over Its goal of $50,000.
Sales In Texas during the
month amounted to $19,040,596
while sales for the same period
