of choice of clothes particu-
larly stands out is in the Ills
Graham dining hall. It is our
privilege to eat there often
during the week and on Sun-
day. We enjoy eating In the
dining hall and it is a good
oppoitunity for fellowship
with students and niests. All
those who have contributed
towaid making the dining hall
a more cheerful tasteful col-
orful and musical place In
which to eat are to be con-
gratulated. Theie have been
lmpiovemcnts that add to
better living and eating.
The choice of clothing one
wears to the dining hall is
Important. One's general ap-
pearance is usually Important
in most situations. Take most
any given Sunday and what
does one find? Most of oui
students will have been tc
chinch and they return to
have lunch attractively dres-
sed and leady lor a good meal
Occasslonally there are par-
ents and usually there are
other guests from off campus
to Join the students at the
mcaLAnd what happens?
Here comes someone with a
two day beaid sleep filled
eyes blue jeans and a T
siiiit to Join the crowd for
lunch!
This is an exaggeiatcd ex-
ample but something slmllai
happens most every meal. Is
it asking too much to suggest
that c should dress as well
as possible to eat in any pub-
lice place particularly our
own colleje dining hall? Have
we no more icspcct for our
friends guests and ourselves
that we can't take the time
and trouble to dress properly
for a public meal?
These are days of casual
living and casual dressing.
Being informal does not give
license for being sloppy and
disrespectful. It could bb that
maybe a college gentleman
should learn to add a coat to
his public wardrobe Just
as a college woman should
add a hat to her Sunday
morning costume.
Oh well take It for what;
Its -worth. See you In "the
dining hall. Yours for better
.meals more handsome men
and prettier girls. JTP

We think we know how they
felt. That is how the Mc-

their loss to ACC last Satur-

But we would like to think
that of those disappointed
players perhaps the most
disappointed was the one

Indians ftattle ACC Dowirta Wire
Before Bowings 67-63 in Indian Gym

The ACC Wildcats and the
McMurry Indians got to-
gether Saturday night to re-
new their rivalry with the
fifty-second meeting and the
Tarvor led Wildcats weie able
to repulse a last minute Shel-
ton paced Indian drive that
ended In an ACC victory 67-

cats was guard Buddy Tarver
as he pushed In 21 points to
lead In the scoring and Mike
Allen popped the nets for 16
points.

with amazing accuracy Toby
Burkhardt shredded the goals

eyes consider one ot the fin-
est games played by anv
player in Indian Gym the loss
cut deep into his pride
We think that this fierce
pride to win is what keeps the
rivalry between McMurry and
ACC so keyed up. It Is what
many times lnsphcs athlete
to play o or their heads In
hopes of victory. With ACC
continuing to giow and be-
come one of the larger col
leges the Braves will have tc
have plenty of this pride tc
be able to defeat them regu-
larly. But theie is no piob-
lcm because we figure this
pride will still be here long
after our names have been
forgotten.
Had the team pulled off the
upset then the Indians of
Stan Burnham would have
had another one of those
come - from - behind Cinder-
ella finishes.
All In all the Rcdmen
played their best game of the
season and no one is holding
his head down over the dt-
leat. Moie than that the
head should be held well erect
for this game was not for
naught. These same Indians
with two exceptions will still
be around for two more years.
And in that period of two
years you will see a spirit of
winning pride that few Mc-
Murry basketball teams have
shown.
