at Beckman Funeral Home In
Fredericksburg Amday, Dec. 1,
with burial In the Oxford Ceme-
tery.

Brady, Mrs. Willie Lawrence
of Shn Antonio, Mrs. Roy Med-

ginning of Thanksgiving which
was also the beginning of A.

"Battle Hymn of Republic" and
discussed religious freedom:
At Thanksgiving the grateful
settlers gave their thanks by
bringing game and their harvest
which they shared with the In-
dian natives. The character of
the Pilgrim fathers was dis-
cussed; they had come to an
austere coast and translated
their principles to their child-
ren.
Ltaa read a poem on the
"Landing of the Pilgrim Fath-
ers;" Mra. Moos discussed
the origin of the Constitution
of the United States which was
founded on the Ten Command-
ments. Thanksgiving, she said,
la the only true American holi-
day. The program closed with#
poem read by Lisa, "To Be An
American," and the singing of
"Faith of Our Fathers."
During the business session,
the community service commit-
tee reported on the cemetery
project which Is guthcrlng In
formation on how to start an
association. It will be slow and
