weekend wtth the Rhoades. Lota
of reminiscent talk was enjoyed.
Mr. and Mrs. Lon Whtddonaf
Lake Jackson spent the week-
end' at their home hare and
visited Mr. and Mra. E.C.
Greenfield. The men enjoyed
some erapple fishing, doing very
well.

day afternoon at the church.
Mrs. Walter Griffin led the

meeting will be the first TUf

Elsie Lange has returned to
her home In Topeka, Kansas,
after spending a month with her
daughter, Mr. and Mra. Harry
Beyara, and alstar, Mr. and
Mra. James Prichard.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Beeuford
were tn Austin Monday to see
Mrs. Beauford's doctor and to do
some shopping.
Mr. and Mrs. M.E, Jones
took their sister and brother-
in-law, Mr. ai)d Mrs. Frank
St ramie, to the Osbervmtlon
Cafe Jan. 10 to celebrate Stre-
mlc'a birthday.
A small fox terrlor dog be-
longing to Mr. and Mrs. George
Galntner of Buchanan Lake Vil-
lage has disappeared and they
would he happy If anyone seeing
the little dog would call them.
The dog is white with three
dark spots forming a clover
leaf on Its back and answers
to the name of Clover.
Mr. and Mrs, Herbert Tay-
lor were called to Joshua, Texas
this week to attend the funeral
of Newell Best, husband of Mrs.
Taylor’s sister.
Mr. and Mrs. George Galnt-
ner have retuched from a trip
to Media, Penn., where they
visited their children, Mr. and
Mra. Willie Cind and family.
They alto visited Mr. and Mrak
Carl Outlay and family In
Spring, Tens. The Gulleys are
leaving this week for Holland
where they will be stationed
for the next three years.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alex-
ander of Amarillo are visiting
their slater, Mr. and Mra. Her-
bert Taylor.
Mra. Ruby Stremlc of Buch-
anan Dam visited her slater,
Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Jones this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. WUton Key
were tn Odessa last weekend
to vlatt their children, Mr. and
Mra. Ronald Key, Shane and
Brent. Little Mister Shane came
home with hla grandparents for
a two week visit. Mrs. Key and
Shane were tn San Saba Wednes-
day to visit Mrs. key’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Perry and
sister, Mr. and Mrs. BUI Cal-
well.
Mrs. Msry Ess ley, Mrs.
Mary Moon, Mrs. Rosalee Pri-
chard, Mrs. Carmen Alexander
and Annie Lottie Wyckoff were
at Hie Llano Nursing Home
Friday afternoon to entertain
the residents with music and
singing. We enjoyed It and hope
they did.
Buddy Brooks Is a patient In
the Llano Memorial Hospital.
He went In for surgery but came
up wtth the mumps, so surgery
had to be postponed. We hope
he Is soon able to be back home.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hiomaa
were In Austin Thursday and
Friday visiting relatives.
Hie Tow Home Demonsta-
tlon Club met Thursday, at the
Community House, the meeting
was conducted by Annie Lottie
Wyckoff In the absence of the
president. Mra. Carolyn Os-
bourn, the agent, brought the
program, "Fad Diets and Doc-
tors’’ and conducted a game on
what we know about fads. Re-
freshments were served by the
hostesses, Mackle Morgan,
Willie Morgan, Will A. Smart-,
and Lucille Galntner to 19 mem-
bers and guests, Carolyn Os-
bourn, Mildred Baugh, Ola
Beau far d and Mrs. Charles
Alexander.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Chism
were In Austin this week for a
check up with Chism’s doctor.
He Is doing very well. He thinks
slow but sure.
Mr. and Mrs. Voltte Chism
of Alaska visited Mr. and Mrs.
Claude Clendennen this week.
Chism Is Mrs. Clendennen’s
nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd
Meador of Burnet also visited
the Clendennens over the week-
end.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Alexand-
er, Diane and Ronnie of Austin,
Mr. and Mrs. Monty Alexand-
er, Cindy and Nick of San Mar-
cos visited their mother, Mrs.
Carmen Alexander and brother,
Mr. and Mrs. Max Alexand-
er, over the weekend.

Mr. and Mra. Roy Inks of
Georgetown are the parents of
a daughter, Robyn Lanette, born
tn Georgetown Sunday, Jan. 13,
welcomed by one brother, Ro-
bert. Hie mother la the former
Mies Eddie Jean Bode. The
grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Ivan Bode and Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Inks, all of Llano. Mr. and Mrs.
Felix Bode of Llano and Mr.
and Mrs. O.C. Lhrengood of
Santa Fe, New Mexico, are the
