Laymen of First Christian
church, Beeville, were hosts when
laymen of several Christians
churches of this vicinity gather-
ed in Beeville for a fellowship
meeting Monday evening of this
week.
Speakers for the evening in-
cluded Mr. Duane Baker, Dean of
Youth, who spoke on young peo-
ple’s ork in the Beeville church.
Baker, a young man of unusual
ability, plans to enter the minis-
try of the Christian church. Mr.
•Leroy Stephenson, chairman of
the Board of the Beeville church,
spoke on “Christianity Versus
Communism.” Mr. Garnett Moore
also of Beeville and the Superin-
tendent of the Church School,
spoke on “Qualificatins for El-
ders, Deacons, .and Superinten-
dents.” Rev. Edwin W. Gorom,
Mathis, spoke on “The Privilege | M
