A Purgative Pleasure.
If you ever took DeWitt’i Little
Early Risers for biliousness or consti-
pation you Know what a purgative
is. These famous little pills cleanse
the liver and rid the system of all bile
without producing unpleasant effects.
They flo not gripe, sicken or weaken,
but give tone and strength to the tis-
sues and organs involved. W H
Howell, of Houston, Texas, writes:
“No better pill can be used than Little
Early Risers for constipation, sick
headache, etc■ ” Sold by D B Warren.
S^jretary Shaw’s announce-
ment that he had $40,000,000 to
deposit in national banks to pre-
vent a scarcity of currency, sent
the stock market up several
points. With a dishonest secre-
tary of the tresury, to what ex-
tent might not this power be
abused?
owes His Life to a Neighbor’s
Kindness.
D P Daugherty, well known through
out Mercer and Sumner counties, W
Va, most likely owes his life to the
kindnensofa neighbor. He was al-
most hopelessly afflicted with diar-
rhoea; was attended by two physi-
cians who gave him little, if any, re-
lief, when a neighbor learning of his
serious oondltion, brought him a bot-
tle of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera
And Diarrhoea Remedy, which cured
him hi less than 24 hours. For sale by
P B Warren.

More errors have been discov-
ered in the general appropria-
tion bill passed by the 28th legis-
lature making appropriations for
the maintenance of the state gov-
ernment and institutions. It was
discovered a few days ago that
the legislature failed to appropri-
ate the available fund of the'state
orphans home, which ? now
amounts tp $5,100. On abeount
of this error this sum cannot be
used for the support of that in-
stitution until the next legisla-
ture oonvenes. A remarkable
dart of this omission is that the

With the arrival of pews and^
startling reports at Sofia, Bulga-.
ria, of the wholesale massacre ol‘
Christians in Macedonia, the sit-
uation is hourly becoming more
aiartning. If the lateet-^neesoirer
which say that 60,000 Jteigarians'
have been slaughtered in the dis-
tricts of Okrida and Leren shall
be oonfirmed, no doubt., exists
that the government Will be
foroed to order the mobilization
of the army immediately.
According to information by a
courier to the revolutionary pa-
per Autonimie, a force of Alba-
nians, assisted by Turkish regu-
lar forces, acting under ordere
direct from Yildiz kiosk, massa*
creed the entire Bulgarian Chris-
tian population of the Okrida and
Leren districts. Fearful descrip-
tions «£re given of the sights
seen there, the soldiers slaught-
ering men, women and children
in every direction, displaying a
barbarism never bifere wit-
nessed. • s'
The number of killed is not
given in the courier’s niispatch-
es, but according to reports from
other sources, the total number
of victims will reach 60,000.

The Genuine vs* LMnlerftlli.
The genuine is always bettor than a
oountesfeit, but the truth of this state-
ment is never more forcibly realised
or more thoroughly appreciated £han
when you compare the genuine De-(
Witt’s Witoh Hasel Salve with the
many counterfeits and worthless sub-,
stitutes that are on the market . W 8
Ledbetter, of Shreveport, La, says:,
“After using numerous other remedies
without benefit, one box of DeWitt’s
Witoh Haael Salve cured me.” For
blind, bleeding, itching or protruding ’
piles no remedy Is equal to DeWitt’s
Witoh Hasel Sabre. Sold by D B
