Chanters Cancel Tour
Measles generally a non-
fatal disease has killed the
McMurry Chanters' spring
tour which had been schedul-
ed to begin Saturday.
Paul Engelstad director of
the Chanters canceled the trip
after several of the choir's
members were seized with the
contagious disease.
'Several members arc already
afflicted and others have been
exposed and arc likely to be-
come ill within the week"
Engelstad said. "Since we
are a small group this year
we cannot sustain the loss of
even a single member. It has
been decided therefore that
the best thing is to cancel out
the tour completely for 1964."

This particular play was writ-
ten in 1936 and has since become
known as one of the masterpieces
of the modern theater. Lorca
himself called the play a photo-
graphic document.
It is the story of a mother and
her daughters who enter into
eight years of mourning for the
recently dead father and husband
a difficult situation under the
best of conditions. For this
family who did not dwell together
in the best of emotional condi-
tions the experience was a dis-
aster. Bobby Joyce Smith an advanc-
