a white cloth, and centered with
an arrangement of yellow mari-
golds, flanked by yellow tapers
in crystal holders. Serving the
cake was Mrs. Walter Kinkier,
and serving the punch was Sarah
White. Miss Lavern Lamprecht
was in charge of the guest reg-
ister.

The Women’s Guild of the Peace
Evangelical and Reformed Church
met on Thursday afternoon in the
Education Building of the church
with Mrs. A. Stautzenberger as
hostess.
Mrs. Ed Stridde, president,
presided over the meeting. Mrs.
E. C. Schroeder, social service
chairman, reported having sent
two duffel bags of clothing to
World Service to be shipped over
seas to help clothe the needy.
Refreshments were enjoyed by
12 members and Rev. C. J. Freu-
denberg.
The next meeting will have Mrs.
Chas. Beutnagel as hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kelch hon-
ored Don Rylant with a welcome
home barbecue after he returned
from overseas duty Wednesday
of last week.

home of Mrs. Phil Ludwig Wed-
nesday afternoon. Yard flowers
were used in decorations. Mrs.
Ed Kieschnick had the program
which was “Happy and Success-
ful Marriage.” A discussion fol-
lowed. After the meeting the host
ess served lime sherbert and cake

Monday night, June 8, Troop 38
held its regular meeting at the
Scout Hut.
Saturday evening we are going
t ocamp to put up our tents.
Then Sunday evening we are go-
ing down to spend a week at
camp.
Scouters attending the meeting
