Texas State I would like to fol
low that up with some interest-
ing information I think gleaned
from the records of last week's
McMurry-West Texas State cn-
countei Marvin scored a total of 22
points as compared to Lloyd's 8
It is also recorded that it was
Marvin who set up the Buff win
by sinking two free throws dur-
ing the last 10 seconds of the
game to send the score into a
tie 70-70 and the game into an
over time playoff It should be
remembered however that there
is much to be said for the ex-
perience chalked up by Marvin
in collegiate play over little
bi other Lloyd who is only a
freshman at McMurry
In closing I would like to say
that if any of you cage fans
going home for the holidays get a
chance to catch one or more of
the Tribe's upcoming games it
might prove for some good holi-
day entertainment I know the
team would like to see you there

The game got off to a fast start
as both teams battled it out for
an early lead For the first few
minutes of play the 2000 fans
saw the lead switch back and
forth on the score board like a
balanced pendulum until finally
it steadied on the McMurry side
and began to grow a little at a

half the Tribe stood 22-16 over
ACC but then the Indian lead
