was arrested Saturday and putin

The Ways and Means Committee
of the house of Re presen atives
of Arkansas has filed their report
on the investigation of charges
preferred against Gov. Davis by
Attorney General George W.,
Murphy, on behalf of the State
Penitentiary Board. The com-
mittee divided in findings, seven
of the eleven members signing
the majority report finding cer-
tain charge a,sustained by the ev-
idence, the three principle ones
being the alleged misuse of / the
contingent fund, use of private
car furnished by Choctaw Rail-
road, and acceptance of ooal from
a concern whioh was supplying
State institutions, no evidence
being introduced of his intention
imposed will make . it nectary
for all the unhappy citizens to
rise very early and labor until
the middle of the night to accom-
plish the oleanlinesp required by
the statute. Such fierce sani-,
tary activities will require the
passage by fhe lawmakers of an-
other bill, appointing a period of
rest and recuperation for an ex-
hausted but clean people.
