We thought we had ■ food item
edition of the Dallas Morning
News.
However, Margaret Waring beat
us to it in har column. Library
News! Modesty compelled her to
omit part of Kant Biffle’s (writer
of the Texans column) comments.
To quote Biflle, he said, *Tn his
research, Mr. Metz was expertly
guided along the tricky paper
chase by Comanche County
Library’s treasured historian
Margvet Waring. Mr. Metz will
autograph books at her library on
Sunday, November 17"
Of course this was in reference
to Mr Metz’s latest book on John
Wesley Hardin.
A complimentary copy of John
Wesley Hardin, Dark Angel of
Texas has been sent to the
Comanche Chief.
Be sure to mark your calendar
for the book signing parly Sunday
afternoon, November 17th, hosted
by Friends of the Library at the
Public Library.
Halloween, halkrween, oh what
funny things we’ve seen!
Ruth Goodson says
approximately 300 trick or treaters
came to her house at 90S North
Ehn.
North Elm was decorated by
most houses between Grand and
Wright street.
We were at The Chief and feel
like about 500 trick or Mars
came by. We ware joined by
Nawana Lockridge who brought
har treats.
We had ftw nicest children come
by-all very polite, appreciative,
and all said, ’Thank you."
Our ftiture is in good hands!
