Your Invitation
to
Homecoming
Dear Alumni and Exes:
You are especially invited for Homecoming and all the
activities. We believe you will be pleasantly surprised with
many of the changes that have taken place.
The Tarleton Alumni Association has been busy with
many activities to assist the institution in student recruiting,
special projects, and scholarships. Our best advertising is our
alumni and exes, so we are happy to share your promotions,
advances, and successes.
In our pursuit for excellence and to meet the needs of
students and society, we like to use Homecoming as a time to
renew friendships and for reminiscing and planning.
We hope you can come.
Sincerely,
W. O. Trogdon

Message
Dear Fellow Alumni,
Let's make Tarleton Homecoming, Oct. 15, 1977 the best
ever. How can this be done? Easy. Just set aside theweekend
of Oct. 15th for Tarleton. Be an active part of the parade,
the annual board meeting, the luncheon, the football game
and finally the dance. See old friends in all these places.
Walk around the campus and reminisce while looking at all
the improvements and additions. Tarleton is both the old
and the new.
The five years I have served on the Board of Directors of
our Alumni Association have been good years for our
association and for me. We can be proud of the part we have
had in the building of the new stadium, student recruiting,
and scholarships. Assisting with the stadium is the most
extensive project we have ever undertaken, and the success
of this program is most gratifying to the officers and board
members of the association. This year we plan to expand our
program in recruiting and public relations to make high
school students throughout Texas more aware of the many
good things Tarleton has to offer. As an organization we
are growing and active. That is good. Let us keep it that way
or make it even better. Being involved with Tarleton has
given me much pleasure and satisfaction. Working for and
giving to Tarleton has been great.
I have been unable to be totally active this year and want
to thank the President-Elect and the other board members
for doing such an excellent job in my absence.
As a Tarleton Ex and president of your Alumni
Association I urge you to come to Homecoming this year. I
believe you will be glad you did.
Sincerely,
Guin Lemke '39"
