McMurry's homecoming is a
culmination and a beginning of
many activities
In preparation for the erection
of tepee village students actu-
ally do the tasks of Indians
gathering poles for their tepees
stripping them hunting animals
cleaning skins drying them
But before this is done stu-
dents research the living and eat-
ing habits of their particular In-
dian tribes to make them more
authentic
In addition to work for the
erection of tepee village many
routine jobs are done by commit-
tees tepee judges must be found
tours set up headbands made the
talent show coordinated elections
held for favorites and the Home-
coming royalty
Meanwhile out on the football
field another type of preparation
is taking place as the Indian
squad prepares for the battle on
Saturday afternoon.
