Commendatory letter* on their
work In sponsoring the Veteran*'
Welfare Association • Community
Kitchen In Brownwood have been
received by some of the officials of
the organization from Hon. Thomas
L.v Blanton of Abilene, representative
in Congreas from the 17th district.
The letters prahe the work of
the organize thin In carrying on
such work and came unsolicited and
as a surprise to the recipients, Mr.
Blantan explaining In the letters he
had seen an aocount of the work
in news stories In a Brownwood
newspaper.
One of Up letters was as follows:
“A Brownwood newspaper carries
the Information that you and other
.aster■ ni there are doing splendid
fwerk in conducting e soup kitchen
which furnishes to needy veterans
one night's stay and three meals,
and that you are devoting much of
your time at this kitchen In fur-
nishing needed relief.
“I want to commend you ior it
with all my heart. The work upon
which you are engaged Is most
worthy and it lends help to tran-
sients who many time* without
fault on their pari are cold and
hungry. The Bible says that 'in-
tern ueh as ye have done it unto the
least of any one of these, you have
also done it unto lie.'

MBS. O. E HAMILTON
Mrs. O. R. Hamilton, resident of
the Wlnchell community for a num-
ber of years, died at her home there
at 6 o'clock Thursday evening, Frt>
23. Mrs. Hamilton was born In
Tennessee. March 3. 1SS1. She had
been a member at the Methodist
church sinoe childhood.
Funeral sendees were held thi.*
afternoon at 2:20 o'clock from the
Methodist church at Wlnchell with
Rev. Mr. WUkerson officiating
Burial was mads in Winched ceme-
tery with White * London Funeral
Homs In charge of arrangements
She Is survived by her husband,
three daughters, Mra. Bertha Lang-
ford of Brownwood, Mrs. Lilli an
Helms and MBs-Dorothy Fay Hams
11 ton. both of Wlnchell. Three
Maters also survive.
Pallbearers were: Kike Davis
Howard Cravens. U. M. Rice. Wal-
loon Denman. Luke Russell and
Rherman Dodd.

minor operation.

ed highly recommending the con-
