Wednesday
Mrs. Roy Williford gave the
program, ‘‘More Than A Name,”
for the Women’s Missionary Un-
ion of the First Baptist Church
at Sandia when it met last Wed-
nesday afternoon at the church.
Mrs. Ben Cox opened the meet-
ing with prayer. The group sang
the ‘‘Women’s Hymn” and re-
peated the Watchword. The pro-
gram was on the Baptist work
in Europe.
Mrs. Gerald Petty closed the
meeting with prayer. There
were seven members present.
The WMU will meet next Wed-
nesday at 3 p.m. at the church.
The program will be announced

Mrs. Glenn Dorris was hostess
to the Dorcas Sunday School
Class when it met last Wednes-
day afternoon for business and

rise Services Easter Sunday at
the Knolle Camping Grounds.

Mrs. M. G. Williford were hosts
to a breakfast.

cently in Corpus Christi.
On Monday, April 4, at the
home of Mrs. George Hodges,

Begin Study
The three circles of the Wo-
men’s Missionary Union of the
First Baptist Church began a
three month study when they
met in separate homes Tues-
day. The Royal Service program
is entitled “Educating Youth In
Missions.”
The Edith Crane Circle met
at the home of Mr,s. Pete Thys-
sen Tuesday morning, Mrs. Clau-
de Morrison presented the study.
There were five members pre-
sent.
Mrs. Walter Leber, Jr., be-
came a new member of the
Ruth Everley Hayes Circle when
it met Tuesday morning at the
home of Mrs. Austin Nelson.
Mrs. Garland Hollon was the
study leader. There were four
members and the WMU presi-
dent, Mrs. B. S. Whitaker, pre-
sent.
Mrs. Percy Hartman was hos-
tess to the Barbara Cunning-
ham Circle when it met Tues-
day afternoon. Mrs. C. F. Mil-
ler was the study leader. There

for the Junior Girls’ Auxiliary
when they met at the First Bap-
tist Church with their leader,

Glorious Physician” by Taylor
Caldwell.

Eggs At Picnic
The.primary Sunbeams of the
First Baptist Church had an
Easter egg hunt, picnic supper
and regular meeting last Thurs-
day evening at the home of Mrs.
Charles Miller.
Each child took a guest and
a sack lunch. Approximately
35 attended.

church.
