hi-jacked and shot J. R. Biddings,
owner of Eddings Food Market in
Highlands around 8:46 p.m. Friday.
At noon Saturday, he still had
eluded police who had no clue to

bery, the youth walked into Bid-
dings store a few minutes after
closing time and demanded money.
He later shot Eddings through the
arm as he lay on his face on the
floor.
Eddings, not seriously injured,

orial hospital and was able to dis-
cuss the robbery Saturday morn-
He said the nervous youth, his
face masked with a dirty handker-
chief, confronted him as he Was
making up the payroll, for his
employes. Eddings saicThe opened
the safe, but there was only small

manded to know where the rest
of his money wo* hidden. Eddings
gave him a paper sack containing
between $500 and' 8600 cash, and

“He then asked where the big
money was. When I told him that

over me and shot me. The concus-
