Daylight-saving
time targeted
by lawmaker
AUSTIN (AP) — A Texas
lawmaker wants to turn back the
hands of time. Literally.
Sen. Bill Sims, D-San
Angelo, has filed a bill that
would abolish daylight-saying
time in Texas. The Legislature
meets in regular session begin-
ning in January.
Sims said the practice “cre-
ates mass confusion. My grand-
children are going to wake up at’
the same time, regardless of
daylight savings.”
