McMurry Band and Chanters
are both slated to make their
annual tours. Performances
are scheduled to perform in a
variety of locations in Texas.
The Chanters under the di-
rection of Dr. Henry A. Alviani
start their tour on Saturday
February 25 and return on
Thursday March 2 They are
scheduled to perform in dear
Lake Galveston Houston
Victoria San Antonio
FredericksburgandSanAngelo.
A pre-tour concert will be
given on Friday February 24
at 730 pm in the Amy Graves
Ryan Recital Hall.
The McMurry Band directed
by Mr. James Williamson will
perform in Waco Belton
Temple and Austin. The band
will depart on Sunday Febru-
ary 26 and are scheduled to
return on WednesdayMarchl.

The two-day event was held

in Abilene.
The team represented the

States. The delegation from the
United States was named best
college delegation.

House vote on February 14.
The Republican-controlled
House voted to create a
block-grant program so that
communities may decide
how to use the funds.
Clinton's bill featured

Clinton has threatened to
veto any measure that does
not provide for the new
officers.
If Clinton does usehis veto
power it would be the first
time that he has done so.
