the program. Mrs. Thurman

topic Is, “Your Child and Radio,
TV, Comic and Movies.” At the
conclusion of the talks there

The Mt. Olive Home Demon-
stration Club met Wednesday
afternoon, November 8, at the
home of Mrs. Clarence Bessent.
The program was on “New
Methods of Caring for Cloth-
ing.”
Plans were discussed for the
Christmas program at the Oold-
thwalte Youth Center Decem-
ber 8 at 2:00 p. m.
The hostess served cookies
and punch to four members and
two guests, Mrs. Rachel B.
Trent and Mrs. Harvey Hale.
Club members will have their
Christmas party Wednesday,
December 12 at the home of
Mrs. L. C. Bunting.

MISS DANA TUBB
The engagement of Miss Dana Tubb to Del Williams, both
students at Texas Western College, El Paso, is being announced
by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis H. Tubb of Odessa, Texas.
The future bridegroom Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Williams, also of Odessa.
The couple will repeat vows December 27 In the First Baptist
Church of Odessa with Dr. John S. Rasco officiating.
The bride-elect, a graduate of Odessa High School, is studying
elementary education at T. W. C. She is a candidate for a degree
In January and plans to teach In El Paso. Her sorority Is Zeta Tau
Alpha and she has been a cheerleader and a member of the foot-
ball court.
Del Williams, a graduate of Ector High School In Odessa, Is
a pre-med student at T. W. C. He will take a degree In Biology
and Chemistry In the spring. He Is a captain of the Texas Western
football team and a member of Sardonyx.

Trent Dew Library During November
The Jennie Trent Dew Mem-
orial library Board met In
regular session Tuesday morn-
ing In the Commissioners’
Courtroom with five members,
Mrs. John A. Hester, Mrs. Joe A.
Palmer, Mrs. John O. Berry,
Mrs E. B. Gilliam, Jr. and W. C.
Barnett present. Mrs. Palmer,
chairman of the board, presid-
ed at the meeting.
The Library received 10 mem-
orial books during this month
and one new book, "Gone With
The Wind,” has been bought for
the library. Three hundred and
forty-nine Juvenile books have
been checked out and 270 adult
books, a total of 819. A num-
ber of books are being used by
readers at the library each day
that the library is open.
The following books were ad-
ded to the library In November:
“The Tough Minded Opti-
mist,” Norman Vincent Peale;
"The Judas Tree," A. J. Cronin;
"Stephen Morris,” Nevll Shute;
“The Rise and Fall of Adolph
Hitler,” Landmark Book; “The
Story of Atomic Energy,” Land-

Mockingbird,” Harper Lee; “Be-
