Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hyslop
of Groves, Texas, are the proud
parents of a son, Tommy Hy-
slop, Jr„ born at Port Arthur
November 21, 1961. He weighed
eight pounds and eight and
one-half ounces. He has two
little sisters, Jodie and Julie, to
welcome him home.
Tommy Jr. is the first son
born in the Hyslop family In 37
years. He is the nephew of Mrs.
Ancle Morgan of Ooldthwalte.

In regular session on December
4, 1961 with Charles Conradt,
President, J. D. Harper, Secre-
tary, Walton Daniel, L. R. Rudd
and Elmo Watson attending;
absent from the board was L,
B. Burnham and O. P. Shelton.
8upt. Jones was present and
presented ,the .agenda.
Motion was made by Rudd
and seconded by Watson that
the minutes of 11-6-61 be ap-
proved as printed or duplicated.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion made by Daniel, sec-
onded by Harper and voted un-
animously to allow all bills and

discussion on road conditions
existing and after discussion
was had on the possibility of
having the Neighbors Creek
road designated and Improved
as a Farm-To-Market Road, It
was moved by Harper, seconded
by Watson and voted unanim-
ously to send letter or Resolu-
tion to State Highway Engineer,
E. M. Pritchard of Brownwood,
Texas expressing our interest
and encouraging early action on
tbs road, from Its intersection
with Highway No. 18 south'
to the Bulls Creek Road. ... {

our pastor. Brother J. L. Jones.
Thert waa a large crowd pres-
ent for the 11 o’clock service
some were present that had
not been In attendance for some
time. We welcome them back,
we are always glad to have each
and everyone In services. We
missed some that have been
coming but were not present
Sunday. There has been quite
a lot of colds In our community
but eo far aa I know there is
no ons sick.
Word was receivsd here Sun-
day that Mr. R. C. Duren's
nephew, Houston Ward of-
8wenson, was accidently shot
and waa In an Abilene hospital.
He la the son of Mrs Maggie
Duren Ward. We hope he lan’t
seriously hurt and will soon be
back home again.
Mr. and Mrs. Clint Smith vis-
ited Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr
and Mrs. Keats In Ooldthwalte
Saturday.
Mr and Mrs. BUI Daniel vis-
ited In the R. C. Brown home
Sunday.
Mr. Bobby Zane Duren cele-
brated his birthday Monday
with a party at the O. I. Build-
ing in Mullln. "Happy Birth-
day," Bobby Zane.
