AN ACT

to certain prohibited abortions and the treatment and
3 disposition of a human fetus, human fetal tissue, and embryonic and
4 fetal tissue remains; creating a civil cause of action; imposing a5 civil penalty;

creating criminal offenses.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
Section 33.001(1),
Family
Code, is amended
8 read as follows:
"Abortion" has the meaning
assigned
by Section
10 245.002, Health and Safety Code [means-the
