Lady Owls Grounded By Mustangs ^School^
Varsity, JV, Frosh All Defeated
The Ingleside Lady Mustangs
dropped the Lady Owls 54-26. The
Lady Owls scored just 26 points and
had 30 rebounds.
Coach Dawn Wilkin said the game
was fairly even except for the se-
cond quarter.
“The second quarter killed us,”
she said. “The second half we played
them even and we out rebounded
them.”
Ingleside’s Terri Andrews was a
nightmare for the Owls as she
scored 23 points in the game.
However 19 of those points were
scored in the first half.
Coach Wilkin said she was im-
pressed with the defensive perfor-
mance by Pat Pizana.
“Pat Pizana drew the assignment
to guard Terri Andrews in the se-
cond half and held her to one basket
and two free-throws. Pat did a very
good job of guarding her,” she said.
Melissa Lunoff was the high
scorer for the Ladies with 10 points
and 4 rebounds. Zonia Garza had 6
points and 10 rebounds, and Nelda
Dominguez had 4 points and 4 re-
bounds. Both girls played well.
“All of the Owls played very hard
and got after it,” said Coach Wilkin.
“It’s too bad our shots didn’t go in.”
The Lady Owls had 42 field goal at-
tempts and made only 10. Coach
Wilkin described it as “a miserable
24 percent.”
In another Lady Owl action, the
JV team lost a nail biter to the
Mustangs 20-18. Valerie Elizardo
was the high scorer with 8 points.
Michelle Rokohl scored four points
and Cindy Hinojosa and Jan Higgin-
botham each socred three.
The freshman girls lost 33-17 and
Janet Reyna was the high scorer
with 7 points.
Tara Stauser scored 6 points and
Melissa Quintero and Monica Guz-
man each scored two points.

the fireplace...
a pleasure or problem?
A fireplace is a potential energy waster because
as much as30% of the conditioned airwithin the
home may be lost up the chimney.
If one is to be installed, however, to be efficient it
must be entirely within the conditioned area and
have a tight-fitting damper and glass front. To
further increase efficiency it is recommended
that an outside air duct system be installed
within the hearth. Still another energy saver is a
single or variable speed forced air heating sys-
tem which is designed to force the heated air
outward directly into the
living area or into exist-
ing ductwork to sup-
plement the output
of the central
system.
