Following are winners an-
nounced by the Baytown Parks
and Recreation Department in
various contests in the July 4
celebration:
Parade
Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 912 and Ladies Auxiliary
won the ward for best float in
the July 4 parade in Baytown.
Second place went to Bay-
town State Bank while the Bay-
town Police Patrolmen’s Union
won third place in the float
competition.
Shriners were named the best
marching group. Second place
went'to the Robert E. Lee Band
and band alumni. Ranking third
among, the marching groups was
the Star Twirling Academy.
For best-decorated vehicle,
first place went to Ms. Fiesta—
Samantha Campos. Our Lady of
Guadalupe Church won second
and Bayshore Fine Rides, third,
For best-decorated bicycle,
Nathan Holt won first place and
Cub Scout Pack 93, second
place.
; For best military, Jeff Perry
was a first-place winner. Ri-
chard Raday won second and
Jimmie Burleson, third.
Best visiting fire department:
Mont Belvieu Fire Department,
first, and Mont Belvieu EMS,

Best antique car: Bob and Bil-
lie Wright for their 1930 Ford
two-door sedan. Second place
was won by Jack Williams, for
his 1931 Ford two-door sedan.

rolet; Billy Carroll, second
place, 1957 Chevrolet pickup;
