Coastal Bend Schools To Fund
Careers Partnership Program
The Coastal Bend School To
Careers Partnership, a committee of
the Coastal Bend Workforce
Development Board, is funding
eight area school to-careers initia-
tives totaling $243,3000. The eight
schools, selected in a competitive
procurement process, are funded
for a wide range of activities. Texas
A&M - Corpus Christi, funded at
$39,900 will provide the course
"Applied Connections" for Coastal
Bend area teachers. Corpus Christi
ISD, funded at $60,000, will devel-
op career curriculum for grades
kindergarten through eighth grade.
Brooks County ISD, funded at
$27,900, will conduct a summer
career camp for middle and high
school students.
Kingsville ISD, funded at
$43,700, will conduct four summer
career camps for fifth through
eighth graders, and two career
awareness days. Robstown ISD,
funded at $5,000 will establish a
